Anderson County Schools are divided into five school districts. Click on the links below to learn more about each school district and each school in the respective district.
District One includes Palmetto High and Wren High. It is based in the town of Williamston and covers the northeast section of Anderson County. It has about 7,000 students and 420 teachers in two high schools, three middle schools, seven primary schools, a Child Development center, and shares a Career Technology center with District 2 for high school vocational students.
District Two includes Belton Honea Path High. It serves eastern Anderson County, which includes the towns of Belton and Honea Path. It has about 3,500 students and 250 teachers. It has one high school, two middle schools, four elementary schools, and the Career Technology.
District Three includes Crescent High. It serves the Starr and Iva areas in the southern part of Anderson County. It has about 2,500 students and 150 teachers in its one high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools.
District Four includes Pendleton High. I t serves the northwestern section of the County. It has about 2,500 students and 175 teachers in one high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools.
District Five includes TL Hanna High and Westside High. It is the county's largest and serves the city of Anderson and the surrounding community. It has about 11,000 students and 700 teachers in two high schools, three middle schools, and nine elementary schools. The district also runs several programs for students with special needs, including the Project Challenge program for gifted and talented students in grades 3-12.
